Toastmasters Youth Leadership Program

CBC Toastmasters Youth Leadership Program (YLP) is based on Toastmasters’ curriculum and recreates the Toastmaster experience to foster the public speaking and leadership skills that young adults will need today to meet the demands and challenges of tomorrow (e.g. project presentations, college/job interviews and team collaboration). Please refer to the 2017 CBC_TYLP_P02_Master_Schedule for class details.

WHO ARE ELIGIBLE:

CBC Members ONLY
(Membership Application can be downloaded here. Please send the membership form and membership fee separately from the YLP registration)

Incoming 7th graders through 12th graders (for Fall 2017)

Due to overwhelming demand, applicant selection priority will be based on registration date and membership seniority.

Date: June 17 – July 22, 2017, total 5 Saturdays (No class on 7/1/2017)
Time: 9:00am – 12:00 noon

GRADUATION CERTIFICATE:

You must attend at least 4 weeks of the program to receive the graduation certificate.

REGISTRATION FEE:

Early Registration: $80 per student (20% off full price) – by April 22, 2017
Standard Registration: $100 per student
 
(Materials and snacks are included).

Limited fee assistance ($30 per student) may be available for students whose families are undergoing extreme financial hardships. Please mark on the application form and CBC will contact you to determine eligibility. Please pay the full fee amount in advance.

Make check payable to CBC. Fee is non-refundable once you are accepted and confirmation letter is sent out.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:

Capacity is very LIMITED.  Application must be received no later than May 26th 2017 for consideration. Please note that all spaces may have been filled prior to this date.

Early registration is strongly recommended. Register by Sunday, April 22, 2017 to be eligible for Early Registration and the discounted registration fee. All applications received after April 22nd will be considered with all other standard registration applicants.
(Full payment must be received at the time of registration.)

Registration confirmations will typically be sent via email within a week of each registration deadline (Early Registration: April 22nd, Standard Registration: May 26th).

*** Applicants will be waitlisted if we have reached our capacity. We will notify parents via email if spaces become available. When notified, parents will have 24 hours to confirm if they would like to register.
