THE TOASTMASTERS EXPERIENCE

Gavel clubs are a way of providing the Toastmasters experience to groups who may be ineligible for regular membership due to age, or other circumstances. Following similar Toastmasters club meeting protocols, Gavel clubs use club officer titles and education manuals.

PUBLIC SPEAKING:

Learn by doing: impromptu speaking; body language; voice and words; preparation and presentation.

LEADERSHIP SKILLS:

Learn together by conducting meetings, electing officers, providing feedback, and thinking on your feet.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE:

  • CBC Members ONLY
    (Membership Application can be submitted here. Please note that membership application and payment are separate from Gavel Club registration.).

  • Incoming 7th graders through 12th graders who have completed the CBC Youth Leadership & Public Speaking Program (YLPP) (Formerly TYLP).

WHEN / WHERE:

  • Currently at Holy Spirit Church.

  • First and third Saturday every month from September 7th, 2024 through May 2025 (no class December and Summer).

  • Noon to 2:00 pm.

REGISTRATION FEES:

GAVEL CLUB REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED

Eary Bird (by August 18th): $300 per new student. $250 for returning students.

Regular Registration (After August 18th): $350 per new student. $275 for returning students.

(Fees include supplies/materials and Toastmasters international registration)
